Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Student Union election scheduled to hold today has been cancelled following a closed-door meeting between the Directorate of Students’ Affairs (D.S.A) Dr. Kolawole Amos and the Student Union’s aspirants on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the aspirants demanded that their results should be uploaded and visible on the school portal before the election.

It could be recalled, the election which was initially scheduled to hold on May 9, 2024 had been cancelled due to some salient factors. This has made it the third time the election has been cancelled, leaving students frustrated and uncertain about the future of the student union leadership.

We had earlier reported some three pressing issues that are potentially capable to halt the process of holding the SUG and SRC elections scheduled to hold on Thursday and Friday, respectively; results issue which are yet to be posted on the school portal, inactive of the outgoing Students Electoral Committee, SUELECO members and SUG website which is due for subscription.

Meanwhile, the Students Union President, Babatunde Hezekiah has earlier today revealed, the website has been renewed to avert the disruption of the election.
