Maggie Haberman is an American journalist who has gained recognition for her coverage of politics and the White House. Haberman is perhaps best known for her coverage of Donald Trump’s presidency.
She joined The New York Times in 2015 and worked as a White House correspondent, covering Trump’s every move and breaking many major stories. Her reporting on the Trump administration earned her a Pulitzer Prize in 2018. Haberman is married to Dareh Ardashes Gregorian who is a reporter for the New York Daily News and is the son of Vartan Gregorian.
She was born on October 30, 1973, in New York City, and grew up in a family of journalists. Haberman’s parents are Nancy Haberman, who worked as a media communications executive at Rubenstein Associates, and Clyde Haberman, a former journalist for The New York Times.
Her mother handled a client list that included notable figures such as Donald Trump. Haberman obtained her high school diploma in 1991 from Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and subsequently pursued her bachelor’s degree at Sarah Lawrence College, graduating in 1995.
Dareh Ardashes Gregorian, who is married to Maggie Haberman, is a reporter for NBC News, a role he has held for over four years and five months. Born on March 24, 1970, in Austin, Texas, Dareh grew up in the city with his two older brothers, Vahe and Raffi. Dareh earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Boston University in 1992 and started working as a reporter and editor at the New York Post in January 1996.
